Since Z Company lost the franchise of international business, it is encountering fiercer competition than ever, especial in such a world market with globalized economy and transparent information. Faced with the so sever external challenge, Z Company are in great need reducing the operation cost, promoting service function, constructing core competitiveness.The logistics is a critical part of international trade. Unless the logistics work has well done, the commodity in need can be delivered on time with good quality and low cost, which enhance the market competitive ability of the commodity. The logistics has become the essential factor influencing and restricting the development of international trade. At present, Z Company outsourced non-core business like the logistics to the TPLs, but there are still many problems in the choice, management and performance evaluation of logistics service providers, resulting in great and potential danger in the aspect of customs service lever, logistics cost and capital settlement. It is not conducive to the promotion of competitiveness.Therefore, the dissertation integrates theory and the case of Z Company to study management strategy for logistics service providers, analyze the logistics needs and the management problem of Z Company, and applies the suitable strategies to improve the logistics supplier management from the three aspects:supplier selection, basic management strategy, performance evaluation.The main research of this dissertation:1,Analyze logistics needs of Z Company in four different aspects of materials' type, logistics demand type, logistics demand size and the characteristics of logistics process, meanwhile point out the problem and the necessity of improvement in the management of logistics service providers for Z Company.2,Propose the basic management strategy for Z Company. Z Company should establish a logistics management organization to implement effective management based on a clear management objective of logistics service providers; Develop strategic business partner relationship with the logistics service providers to achieve the management objectives; Build the risk prevention mechanism to avoid and reduce the risk of outsourcing.3,Use the combination of AHP and Fuzzy Decision to select the best logistics service supplier; 4,Put forward the logistics performance evaluation standard and methods. Point out that performance evaluation can contribute to improvements in supplier management and optimization of supplier resources, and study in detail on how to implement performance appraisal for Z Company.The research results not only make useful decision support on the management of Z Company, but also help similar companies to upgrade the level of logistics service providers'management with a reference.
