The Cultural Function Analysis Of SheHuo

SheHuo, speaking from a wide range, is a folk activity which is popular in northwest entertainment places like Shanxi, Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai. It originated from the original religion, represented the ancestors' worship to the land and fire. Go through a few thousand years of development, it becomes a kind of folk activity which often performs in the New Years and other festivals. As an important program in the vast land of northwest, SheHuo has a very significant impact and cultural role. In recent years, with the heating up of the rural folklore tourism and the protection of intangible cultural heritage, this ancient folk art has been radiating his charm again. The research for SheHuo will not only help to grasp the traditional culture, the values and the public character of the Northwest, but also have positive significance for the development of western folk tourism and promote the economic development of backward areas. Meanwhile, with the slowly declining of the traditional folk culture, the research about SheHuo will clearly indicate the individual negative problems in the traditional cultural heritage, help us to break out some of the bottleneck of traditional national cultural heritage. So, we can say that, the research will not only promote to the spiritual civilization construction of new countryside, maintain our outstanding cultural heritage, but also contribute to the construction of harmonious society.This article bases on a typical village which always holds SheHuo in specific times, analyzes SheHuo's generation, development and change history, then detailed analysis of this folk performance in this village. On this basis, the article analyzes the cultural characteristics of the activities and the cultural function it produce in their village community and the whole culture.
