| The theme park in China has been over twenty years of development, but after initial exploration, comprehensive development, integrated development of three stages of development, now all kinds of theme parks has been endless. As the data shows that, China has developed a total of 2,500 different size theme parks in the 1980s to 2010, the number of passenger reaches 100 million per year. If everyone consumes 100 yuan, the economy of scale will achieve 100 billion. However, along with high-speed development, China theme park development extremely uneven exposed many problems and shortcomings. Meanwhile, the domestic theory of the system on theme parks also appears insufficient.The paper, focusing on the domestic theme park's development, makes a further disscusion on the course,influencing factors,strategies and the trend of the theme park's development.Firstly, the paper clarifies the conceptual issues such as definition, characteristics and classification of the theme park according to the research of domestic and foreign scholars, analyses some of the major theoretical perspectives in-depth, and also introduces the basis used in this article which are tourist experience theory, life cycle theory of tourism area and influencing factors system of the theme park's development.Secondly,according to its development characteristics,the process is divided into three stages such as the initial exploration stage, the comprehensive development stage and the consolidate growing stage by sorting out the phases of the development of China's theme parks.Moreover,the author summarizes the different features of the various stages of theme park.Thirdly, the paper selects Guangzhou Grand World Scenic Park and Xi'an Tang Paradise as the subjects of case study.and systematically discusses the reason for the failure and success. It is concluded that influential factors are various in different stages except the topics and location. Based on the theory of Tourism Area Life Cycle,the author puts forward a dominant factor system about the life cycle of the theme park.Fourthly, according to different development phases, the paper offers proposals such as location selecting, innovative themes, adapting to the location conditions, diverse operations, multi-channel marketing, creative projects, products and improving the sense of participation,hoping to contribute to the development of the theme parks in China.Finally,the paper analyzes the opportunities and the environment which the theme park in China will have to face.The future development of the theme park will appear the trend such as brand management, wide range of topics, international competition, industrial diversification and experience product. |
