To compensate the neglecting of the effect of embeddedness when studying Entrepreneurial Orientation (EO), based on studies of scholars at home and abroad, and based on strategic and organizational theories (Resource Based View and Embeddedness theory), we discussed the relationship of EO, tie strength (subdivided into strong ties and weak ties) and firm performance, and put forward 3 hypothesis. We choose 163 High-tech firms which are in great need of EO and tie strength as research subject, from Zhongkai High-tech district, collect data and testify the hypothesizes using SPSS software, and come to the following conclusions,1) EO (especially the innovativeness and proactiveness dimensions) has positive effects on performance of high-tech firms;2) Tie strength has positive impact on performance of high-tech firms; strong ties have positive impact on financial performance of high-tech firms, and strong ties have stronger impact on financial performance than weak ties, weak ties have positive impact on product innovation performance of high-tech firms, and weak ties have stronger impact on product innovation than strong ties;3) Strong ties can moderate the positive impact of EO on financial performance.In the conclusion and discussion part, we will give the limitations and future directions of the study. |
