A way to improve the competition of an enterprise is better the system of an enterprise from both external & internal of this enterprise."Increase income & reduce expenditure"is to achieve the ultimate goal for an enterprise for increase benefit from two different ways. One is increasing sales from outside of enterprise; the other is reducing the cost from inside of enterprise. An enterprise should realize"reduce expenditure"first if we contrast"increase income"&"reduce expenditure"to ensure this enterprise has its foothold through reduce its operation cost maximum. The only way to reduce production cost is to eliminate each waste thoroughly during manufacture process. Lean Production (also LP) is a new production method which developing for meet needs including customer diversity (P), high quality (Q), low cost (C), short delivery time (D) & safety (S). LP pursues 7"zero"production principles:"zero"change time,"zero"stock,"zero"defect,"zero"waste,"zero"stagnate &"zero"obstacle. LP is an effective measure to eliminate each waste in manufacture process. Therefore, using LP principle is the ideal choice for Chinese TFT-Manufacture enterprise to reduce production cost, increase benefit & enhance competition.This article analyzes domestic TFT manufacturing industrial developing status based on the circle time of LCD industrial & CRT industrial. TFT industrial is in a continue developing stage. Major TFT plants such as京东方(BOE),上广电(SVA),龙腾光电(IVO) are planning to extend their plant sustained, and they also enlarge their production scale substantially. TFT manufacturing industry will become more intense competition. With the gradual transformation of the domestic manufactures & corresponding increase in labor costs, Chinese TFT manufacturing enterprises are facing tremendous pressure to survive. Therefore, phase in LP production & reduce enterprise cost is the most pressing matter of the moment. This article start from the production site of TFT industrial, BEOL process, expound LP mode, characteristics of LP & development status about LP at home & abroad systematically. And take a company which using LP to improve its TFT LCD panel production line as an example, based on value flow, make use of"one flow","Pull Kanban","eliminate of eight waste"and so on improvement concepts in LP production to optimize current production line layout so that to avoid long-distance transportation for operators and other issues. Through shorten the production cycle time & control the WIP between each process, we can control the WIP between processes effectively. So, we can avoid the quality of product can't be monitor immediately which caused by accumulating large quantities products, and to avoid product obsolescence at last. According to cancel inspection station & reduce the number of operating personnel, we can control the manpower cost effectively during manufacture process, and by sampling inspection, we can monitor the yield of production line valid and achieve customer targets.This article demonstrates the application of LP for on-site improvement is an effective way in current buyer's market which is variety category, samll quantity & short delivery time to respond rapidly to market demand, eliminate waste completely & get the most benefit.
