Strategy Research On Transformation Of Economic Developing Mode Based On SWOT Analysis

It is universally recognized that China's development is in a high speed, which also made great success. And now the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) ranks second in the world. But in some fields, the development cost too much. Because of the high input, high consumption, serious pollution and low efficiency, which is called "3 high 1 low" in Chinese, we are now facing a difficult situation. It is emerge for China to change the mode of economic development, which is also the responsibility for the Chinese governments at all levels.Using the modern enterprise strategic management theories, methodologies and tools (SWOT strategic analysis), this paper attempts to make some studies on the strategy of changing the local economic development ways. We take Panyu District of Guangzhou as the analysis object, SWOT strategic analysis as the tools, this study uses the studying results on strategic management to help the government, which is the decision-making body on transformation of economic developing mode, formulate a better strategy. This paper tries to provide some support to the Panyu district, as well as some reference to other districts. In academic research, based on existing research results of academia and political circles, this paper further enriches the vision of transformation of economic developing strategy, applies the theory of business management on local economic development and relative policies research, which is consistent with new public management theory and expands the scope.This research based on the idea of " Proposing Problems" "Analysing Problems" and "Solving Problems", which mainly include literature analysis, comprehensive research, comparative analysis,as well as brain storm. We first raised the emergency of carrying out the strategy of transforming economic developing mode and the purpose of the research. We also clarified the concept of "Strategy of transforming economic developing mode " and "SWOT analysis", followed by the inner combinities between them. Then, we gave out an overview of Panyu district, whish is the object that we researched on, so as its content definition. And finally we made a sketch on the way we did the research and the methods we used. During the 2^nd chapter, we put our attention on the transformation of economic developing mode, through content, focusing strategies to experiences. And we specialized in the result we had and the way we should improve. Chapter 3 shows us the basic frame of the SWOT analysis, and shows the Strength and Weakness of the internal part with the Opportunities and Threat of the external part of Panyu. We've also built up a matrix based on SWOT analysis. In the 4^th chapter, we made a map of the developing plan that based on the result we had before, followed with some suggestions to support the existing strategy. In the final chapter we had the main conclusion to whole research and the follow-up outlook.
