The Analysis Of The Reason Why Chinese Export Enterprises Suffer From Intellectual Property Barriers

With the knowledge boosting economy, the impact of intellectual property barriers to Chinese economy and trade is growing. Even though, many people know what intellectual property barrier is and something about why Chinese export enterprises have been subjected to intellectual property barriers, but that is far less than enough. Knowing too little about the reason why Chinese export enterprises have been subjected to intellectual property barriers makes Chinese enterprises have few stragegies.In order to improve the understanding of the concept, the main forms of the intellectual property barriers has been analyzed in the chapter two. The analysis of the reason why Chinese export enterprises have been subjected to intellectual property barriers has been divided into three chapters . In chapter three, the inner reason why Chinese export enterprises have been subjected to the intellectual property barriers has been analyzed. In chapter four , the outside reason why Chinese export has been subjected to the intellectual property barriers has been analyzed. In chapter five, the results of chapter three and chapter four have been proved. Then according to the causes why Chinese export enterprises encounter the IPRs barriers, and taking Chinese economic situation into consideration, giving some suggestions about how to deal with IPRs barries. Finally, the conclusions of the paper have been given.Two kinds of methods have been used to analyse the problems. One is using game theory models to analyze the data and finding the problems, then solve them with economic theory. The other is using econometric models to prove some theories exiting.The results show that:Firstly, through game theory, the reason why there are so many facts of violations of intellectual property rights is because the cost for the IPRs protection is too much for the enterprises to bear has been proved. The protection problems cause many export enterprises lack of valuable strategies of intellectual property rights. And, the Chinese export states indicate two kinds of problems exiting . One reveals the problems of the enterprises in intellectual property rights, such as the foreign capital has contributed too much in the export of technology field. The other is the reason why Chinese export enterprises have been suffered from intellcetual property rights, such as most of the goods have been exported to the developed countries.Secondly, the outside reason why Chinese export has been subjected to the intellectual property barriers has been analyzed. In chapter four, the competitive advantage and the comprehensive intellectual property protection policy which is the basis for intellectual property barriers has been discussed.Thirdly, through the model of the granger causality test, I prove that there is causal relationship between the increasing part of the exports from China to the United States and the number that Chinese export has suffered the investigation of 337, which shows that the major cause why Chinese export suffers the intellectual property rights barriers is the irrational use of the intellectual property rights by the foreign companies from another aspect.Finally, according to the conclusions, the advices have been given from three aspects.
