The urban construction and its developing always is one of the concern focuses. Tourism is becoming the prefer way in the leisure times as long as the life level increasing for the human being and influenced by the characteristics of urban style and landscape gardening directly. So that taking the special urban style forming as the modern urban design goal is attracting more and more urban designer and constructer world widely. The urban style is an integrated express of landscape feature, essence and spirit, economical and culture, reflecting a group of urban feature such as landscape feature and urban appearance, the urban graciousness and expression, urban habitude and its characteristic, citizen civilization, enterprising spirit, economical and commercial ability, cultural and technological strength. The landscape gardening is one of the most important parts of the urban style and used as the ornamental form the urban scenery, citizen life facilities, to the shop and food & beverage and entertainment environmental establishment. Take the case of Zhangjiajie city, through social investigation to find the dominating factors, the urban landscape gardening formation was studied in this article for the research of its influence on the urban style using the Folk Custom way.Zhangjiajie is one of the new special city in China, and its population includes the national minorities such as Miao, Tujia, and Bai ethnic. Its distinct regional culture was imaged from its geological environmental factor, social culture, human activities and nature factors. The rich tourism resources especially its unique nature landscape resource made it a typical natural landscape tourism city in China. The related researches about the urban style history and developing program had been retrospect world widely here and the relationship between the urban landscape gardening and the urban style had been discussed. The current shortcomings of the Zhangjiajie city had also pointed such as the lack of the urban building distribution, the shortage of special urban landscapes about the plant, building and regional culture according to its dominating factors and the conclusion that it should be shift its construction goal into ecological hydro-mountain tourist city had been made after analyzing its history, nature geological environment situation and its social culture. According to this construction goal, the unique urban style will be formed as soon as the urban geological landscape, hydro-landscape, urban building, the ornamental construction and plant scenery have been constructed from the view of the landscape gardening.Through this research, the conclusions had been summarized that only under the conditions of full excavating the tourist resources, finding out the main factors which influenced the urban style, based on the background of regional culture and combined the landscape gardening construction, should the tourist city be formed unique urban style.
