Based On Ecological Footprint To Analysize The Land Use Sustainability In Xining

Sustainable economic development has been recognized in many countries and the government, its main research question is:how human economic activities on a limited, non-growing ecosystem to maintain a dynamic stability and sustainable development. With the continuous process of urban progress, the ecological environment of the urban land is faced with the serious threaten. It is significant and pressing issue to protect the ecological environment of the urban land which is utilized reasonable, and to achieve sustainable development for the urban land.On the basis of anglicizing the problem of the land use in Xining, the paper calculates and analyzes the ecological footprint with its model in Xining land use from 2000 to 2008, the results showed that:First, from the constitution and the variation of the ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity, Xining City, the land supply and demand structure in Xining is inconsistent, leading to its land supply and demand imbalance, which to some extent exacerbated the ecological pressure on the land in Xining City and unfavorable to sustainable use of the land; Second, the current land use in Xining City is the absolute ecological deficit, indicating that the current ecological system in Xining is in a state of unsustainable development, and the biggest ecological deficit stem from the cultivated land; Third, from the dynamic changes of the ecological deficit, the ecological deficit in Xining is fluctuate from 2000 to 2008, but the overall trend is increase, which indicate that the land development in Xining is being away from the sustainability.Through the previous calculation and analysis,according to the problems in land use in Xining, some countermeasures and suggestions are put forward to mitigate the ecological deficit of Xining:effective protection of farmland to establish long-term mechanism to protect arable land in Xining; control the population and improve population quality to guide people to a reasonable consumer mode and thus establish a saving consumer society, while controlling the intensity of land development which lead to the a rational real estate development in Xining, to strengthen the land intensive use; making the reasonable industrial planning and promoting recycling economy to enhance resource efficiency of the industrial enterprises, and continue to improve land use planning laws and regulations.
