Research Of Chinese Civil Aviation Shipping Industry Efficiency Using Data Envelopment Analysis

The civil aviation shipping industry is the national economy important basis industry and is the organic composition part of synthesis transportation system. With statement and gradual advancement of civil aviation powerful nation strategy, the development speed of our country's civil aviation shipping industry is swift and violent. The civil aviation shipping industry still has many problems judging by the input of civil aviation shipping industry and its market conditions. The government regulation, the enterprise business capacity difference and the pressure of competition mostly serious influence the efficiency of civil aviation shipping industry, therefore carrying on the analysis to the civil aviation shipping industry's efficiency has the important theory and the practice significance.This article use the correlated theories and standpoints of Western Economics and Industrial Economics, first the industrial organization theory "structure-conduct-performance" analytical framework is used to analyze present development situation of Chinese civil aviation shipping industry; and then Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA)input-output model is used to do further research from the perspective of efficiency in civil aviation shipping industry. The real diagnosis result indicated: that non-efficiency circumstance has emerged in its process in many years, but the overall tendency is the rise. Through carrying on the contrastive analysis to five Airline's efficiency, we find that during five years the scale reward of Air China and Eastern Airline is invariable, The Southern Airlines is at the condition which the scale reward increases progressively, but the Hainan Airlines and Shanghai Airlines are at the condition of the scale diminishing returns.At last, summarizing and assimilating the experiences of the civil aviation shipping industry reforms abroad, this article propose the policy suggestions to improve our country civil aviation shipping industry efficiency at the level of government, line organization and enterprise, expecting to provide a theoretic support and practical instruction for enhancing the efficiency of Chinese civil aviation shipping industry.
