A Study On The Vertical Relationship Governance Of Industrial Chain Of The Automobile Industry Of China

The vertical relationship governance of industrial chain means the particular arrangement of enterprises at different links of industiral chain about the vertical relationship between each other, such as whether to accomplish the trade by market mechanism, or by vertical intergration, or by the hybrid regulation rules. Enterprises make decisions on the vertical relationship governance under the inside and outside environment, and the governance mechanism will impact the development of enterpise in turn.This article discussed the vertical relationship and its formulation mechanism of "component-finished automobile" vertical relationship of automobile industrial chain. For the part of theory and models, the article applied the "transaction-cost theory" as basic theory, in addition we made adjustments and expansion to this theory by intergrating "enterprise capacity" theory and others.And also we changed the oringinal analyze methords into a dynamic model with the time variable. For the industry reserch, we applied the theory into the realistic situation and gave a special frame to explain the vertical governace of automobile industry. We used this frame to analyze two basic types of automobile enterprises in China:the joint-investment enterprises and self-development enterprises and then did emprical study with case-study method.This article received conclusions as following:we could use a "center-periphery" model including two major factors:imprtance level index and enterpirze size index to explain the vertical relationp between component manufactory and finished-automobile manufactory.Under the situation of joint-investment company, the vertical governance patten appears a depature of the best model. And for the self-development enterprises, the "center-periphery" mode fits the fact well, and that induces a good performance on the self-innovation and the promotion for the development of componet manufacture.
