Transnational investment has wept across the world since the 1980s, among which the cross-national investment in retail business sees the most rapid development, and theories of international management has got certain achievements, however, a long time, these research more or less focused on the motive and the operation mechanism of retail trade internationalization, and many of them were by the qualitative research primarily.This research defined the retail enterprise internationalization, and from the point of foreign retailers transnational business attempted to make the host retail enterprises, market conditions, competitors as research subjects, then through empirical model and game analyzed various influence factors on the motive of the retail enterprise transnational management and the modes of entry of internationalization to study why the retail enterprises take cross-border investment, how to choose the host and which modes of entry is reasonable and so on.Finally, we got the conclusions:on the motive of the retail enterprise transnational management, the better the economic development and the market of the host are, the more attractions the host gets by the foreign retail enterprises. In addition, the competitors in the host country market can hinder the foreign retail enterprises to come in; the more experience the foreign retail enterprises gain, the better they take cross-border investment.On the modes of entry of internationalization, if the foreign retail enterprises find their own technology is close to the host retailers, they are inclined to take M&A, the other hand, tend to take sole proprietorship; In the host market conditions, the foreign retail enterprises which want to achieve a higher level of technology should pay the marginal cost. If the marginal cost is low, the foreign retail enterprises are tend to take sole proprietorship, the other hand, they are inclined to take M&A; the most of host retails do not support the foreign retail enterprises to adopt sole proprietorship.This article divides into following several chapters in the structure: The first chapter was the partial for the introduction, elaborated the research aim, literature review and the research significance and so on of this article.The second chapter was discussed the present situation, the characteristic, the way and the development tendency of the overall retail trade in the world, and China's large retail enterprise status, and main problems.The third chapter was from the international expansion of the impact factor theory, to study the retail trade the selection of the investment market, and established the real diagnosis analysis for the expansion influence factors on transnational investment of retail trade, and mainly on the study of international investment expansion of Wal-Mart which is the word leading retailer.At last, it drew the related conclusion.The fourth chapter was from the impact of factors into the modes of entry, to study the retail trade the choice of market access. With the game analysis for the mode of entry influence factors on transnational investment of retail trade, then it drew the related conclusion.The sixth chapter was the basic conclusion of this research and correlation enlightenment to our country retail trade.
