Along with the national economic policy incentives, small and medium-sized enterprises in China have mushroomed and play an increasingly important role. So far, there are over 8 million small and medium-sized enterprises in our country, account for 99% of all the enterprises, and play an important role in the field of industry, solving problem of employment, adding tax revenue etc. However, due to numerous reasons, most of the small and medium-sized enterprises have not established wholesome special mechanism to work on the internal audit. Meanwhile, the development of economic globalization makes the enterprises into intense global competition. Under the pressure of the competition, small and medium-sized enterprises require improving operation efficiency through strengthening internal audit. In we urgently looking for solutions, internal auditing academic outsourcing, who has appeared and developed rapidly since 1990's in developed countries such as USA, has deep implications to small and medium-sized enterprises in China.Theory research and practice innovation of Internal audit outsourcing have been raging in the foreign countries, but domestic debate on this subject are gathered at the theoretical level. Based on executive situation analysis, this article discusses the realistic meaning of internal audit exteriorization for China's SMEs. On the basis of case studies, this paper analyzes the problems involved in internal audit outsourcing, searching for ways to solve these problems, enhancing the effect of internal audit outsourcing in small and medium-sized enterprises.
