With the operation of GATT and WTO, tariff barriers are constantly falling, and traditional non-tariff barriers are also more rigidly restricted. However, to achieve their trade protection strategy, western developed countries ale enthusiastically adopting new non-tariff barriers, of which green barrier is the most popular one. Green barrier is a new type of non-tariff trade barrier, which is increasingly being applied. It emerges mainly to meet people's major concern on environmental problems and respond to trade protectionists'eager pursuit for new methods of protection. In recent years, all the country'efforts to protect the environment indicates that China has made its due efforts as a responsible country in the East. for example, the Chinese government is a positive active, seriously in responding to global climate change and strengthening the building to address climate change capacity; 2010 Boao Asia Forum, taking "green recovery:practical choice for sustainable development in Asia" as its theme, opened up in Hainan Island on April 10. Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping addressed the world the keynote speech entitled "join hands to promote green development and sustainable development in Asia" at the opening ceremony, clarifying green development and sustainable development is the trend in today's world. However, despite of that, China Customs data released on the 10th:that trade deficit of March is 7.24 billion U.S. dollars terminated the country'continuous 70 months trade surplus situation beginning from May 2004.The reasons for that is complicated, but at the same time it also shows China has not done enough in the fields of environmental protection and green development. We still pay little attention to some certain aspects. There is still a wide gap in technology. This research work hopes to add a theoretical foundation on solving these problems. In order to spell out the questions and draw conclusions, the paper is divided into a total of six chapters:The first part is an introduction, describing the background and significance of this paper, domestic and foreign research trends, the research methods and ideas of this article and innovations; the second part of the article combine the related data of the forest products production in our country, describing the status of China forest products trade, using the data of China's forest product exports and GDP from 1997 to 2008 to analyze empirically the contribution of the forest product exports to China's economic development, getting the positive correlation of the two, illustrating the important role of the forest product export trade to the national economy; the third section describes the basic theory of green barriers, mechanism, and economic effects; the fourth part explains in detail the green barrier brings both sides of the impact to China's forest products foreign trade, at the same time trying to use quantitative Analysis to study green barriers controlling the price and quantity of China's forest products foreign trade. Then specify the case of green barriers causing China's furniture export in 2009 decreasing slightly; the fifth part analyzes why China's exports of forest products have been repeatedly stinted by green barrier from the domestic and international perspective; the sixth section wants to find a feasible strategy to deal with green barriers from the sides of government and enterprises.
