Contract Agriculture Researching In Fujian

Contract agriculture is an agriculture industralization model which considers contract (order) as its carrier started in the middle of 19th century. The modern contract agriculture was brought to China in 80' of 20th century. In the late 90' of 20th century, with the concept of the agriculture industrialization being proposed, contract agriculture were growing rapidly in nationwide.Fujian province started early development of contract agriculture in its southeast coast in middle 80'and work up gradually in 90'. The development of the agriculture in our province is fast in recent years, the order sizes are getting larger, the variety of orders are going diversity, and the order duration is becoming middle-long term instead of short term. The advantage of agriculture agent, business leaders and farmer cooperation is exerted, which helps to solve the conflict of dispersed, small size agricultural production and the large products current after China joined the WTO. It pushes the agricultural products current on the market and the agriculture structure readjustment. It also accelerates the development of business leader of agriculture and increase the income of farmers.This research chooses the contract agriculture of Fujian province as its objective. It suggests constituting criterion, supporting the development of business leaders, developing farmer cooperation, developing farmer union cooperation in certain area that has proper condition and exerting the effect of corresponding function departments of government by concluding and analysing the current status, model, characteristic, advantages and disadvantage of contract agriculture of Fujian, so that relevant enterprises and government departments can take it as consideration when they make decisions. The purpose of this research is to accelerate the developing of contract agriculture safely in our province, and the readjustment of the agriculture structure of west coast economic zone.
