Obstacle Factors And Strategies Of Tobacco Leaf Production In Weifang Tobacco Region

This study investigated the ecological resources, social and economic conditions of produce and development in Weifang tobacco production areas. Limiting factors of produce and development of tobacco leaves in Weifang were definitude, counter measures were proposed in order to provide reference of the development of restorative of Weifang tobacco production areas.1,The soil organic matter adaptability indexes was above 0.56 in 60% area of planting tobacco and adaptability indexes above 0.68 in 80% area of planting tobacco, soil available nitrogen adaptability indexes was above 0.77 in 80% area, the soil available phosphorus adaptability indexes was under 0.55 in 60% area, the content of available phosphorus was low, the resource of climate and the main type of soil is appropriate or suitable for high quality of tobacco production in Weifang tobacco area.2,The main ecological obstacle factors in Weifang tobacco area included:the lack of soil organic matter, the low content of soil available nitrogen, the low content of soil available phosphorus and the soil pH value was high in some area, the available boron was mild deficiency, the exchange magnesium content was slightly higher, pests and severe weather, continuous cropping damage caused a series of negative effects, and so on.3,There were many social economy condition factors to obstruct tobacco leaf production in Weifang. The enthusiasm of farmers planting tobacco had been affected by comparison of effectiveness of tobacco revenues decline. National agricultural policy on tobacco production was negative on tobacco production. The increasing of employment opportunities had led to farmers growing ranks of aging. It was low of the ability to resist risks of tobacco leaf production. Tobacco production infrastructure needed to be further improved.4,We need many countermeasures to develop the tobacco leaf production:improving soil and the soil nutrient supply, establishing a reasonable rotation system based on smoke, reducing production costs through mechanization; improving the safe mechanism in the agricultural production of tobacco, perfecting the tobacco production infrastructure, building the high quality flue-cured tobacco production technical standard system and so on.
