Seed Industry Chain Enterprises Cooperation Achievements Influencing Factors Empirical Study

The agriculture is the basis of economical reproduction, social stability and national development, but the seed is the source of agricultural production and irreplaceable, the most basic resource of agricultural production, therefore in the certain extent the seed industry is an industry that relates to food security of the country. In recent years, along with the development of economical global integration, the large-scale agricultural companies overseas have sped up their global strategic layout and successively entered into seed industry through purchasing connection industry. At present, the top ten agricultural companies in the world carved up above 60% market share of seed industry of the whole world. In 2008, the world-wide seed industry alliance estimates that the market size of seed industry in China is approximately 4,000,000,000 US dollars, composing 1/10 of the market size of the whole world and the second market size of the whole world. But so big market size hasn't been actually able to cultivate seed companies full of international competitiveness, therefore how to promote competitiveness of seed industry of our country to deal with the international giant's challenge is the question which seed enterprises need to solve.Enhancing competitive power of seed industry stem from the effective cooperation between enterprises.a series of links, such as breeding, producing, processing, packing, transporting, retailing and promoting so on, need to be completed by different enterprises or departments, these different links constituted seed industrial chain by orderly working, the upstream and downstream enterprises of industrial chain has cooperated on completing work of the chain. The cooperation is an important variable measuring cooperation performance of these enterprises and immediately influences highly effective work of seed industrial chain.Industrial chain is similar as supply chain, but at present the paper on cooperation performance of industrial chain are few, therefore it is necessary using the references on supply chain. This paper induces many factors influencing cooperation performance of enterprise-supplier from the references on cooperation performance of supply chain enterprise, including trust, pledge, dependence, sharing information, degree of information, flexible management, cooperation uncertainty, conformity ability, strength etc. In addition, few references mentions benefit assignment whether to affect cooperation performance, but through visiting upstream and downstream enterprises of seed industrial chain, we think that at present benefit assignment should be a factor influencing cooperation performance, therefore this factor joins into the model of cooperation performance. This paper constructs influencing factor model and thinks that cooperation intention and cooperation condition can influence cooperation ability directly and also affects cooperation performance directly; uncertainty and benefit assignment influence cooperation intention and cooperation performance; cooperation ability influence cooperation performance directly; cooperation intention includes two dimensions——trust and pledge, cooperation condition includes resources and information, cooperation performance divides into objective performance and subjective performance, uncertainty includes external uncertainty and internal uncertainty.Through investigating in Hubei, Jiangxi and Anhui three provinces, this paper gets data on enterprises of seed industrial chain and examines validity and reliability of the questionnaire using SPSS 11.0 software, finally demonstrated that the questionnaire's reliability and validity meet the requirements. The data is suitable to make further analysis, then this paper uses AMOS6.0 software to describe influencing factor model and uses the structural equation to test this model.Cooperate intention influence cooperate ability positively, that means if a strong cooperate intention between enterprises will help to dig and play its cooperate ability. Cooperate condition has positive effect on cooperate ability, no doubt that the enterprises having good conditions have stronger cooperate ability, from this we can see that enterprises should focus on building cooperate condition to improve cooperate ability. Cooperation ability affects cooperate performance very significantly and is a very important factor influencing on cooperate performance; the enterprises in seed industry chain enhancing their cooperate ability by two sides can greatly improve cooperate performance. Uncertainty and benefit distribution does not directly affect cooperate performance, but significantly affect cooperate intention. Reasonable benefit distribution directly affect cooperate intention that is a more critical issue between seed production companies and distributors, distributors and retailers in the process of seed industry chain's operating, the process of county-level distribution of benefits, although finding interests allocation mechanism satisfied all parties is a more difficult task, but in any case the principles and methods of interests allocation accepted by and satisfied all the parties should be taken seriously.
