Study On The Risks And Management Countermeasure Of Agricultural Scale

After 20 years of agricultural market-oriented reforms, China's agricultural production and operation mode has undergone a great change, gradually from household responsibility system to modern scale operation mode. Our countries'agricultural market-oriented reform becomes more and more Extensive, meanwhile, foreign agricultural markets exert pressure to the production and operation of farmers. On the dual role of internal and external factors, the risk of agricultural scale operation mode becomes more diversity and complicate. Therefore, it will make a great sense to investigate the risk sources of agricultural scale operation, analyse the factors which influence the agricultural production operators'attitude and preferences and Propose the management strategies of weaken the risk, which will be in favor of developing agricultural Scale operation, obtaining the economic benefit and Stabilizing and improving the agricultural production operators'income.At first, this study has made a more comprehensive, systematic review about the agricultural scale operation and the risk management based on a great number of related literatures. According to the review, this paper makes definition to some key concepts such as'agricultural scale operation'and'risk'. Then, we did a survey on 100 farmers of Zhu Lake Farm in XiaoGan city. Based on the survey data, we did a series of empirical research and analysis which focus on the risk sources of agricultural scale operation on the current situation, farmers'risk perception and preferences as well as the agricultural risk management strategies. Furthermore, this paper gives some suggestions to weaken the risk of agricultural scale operation and promote this kind of agricultural production and operation mode from both micro and macro aspects.The Conclusion of this research includes the following aspects:1.The risk sources of the agricultural scale operation mainly turn out to be the weather, the climate, the fluctuation of agricultural products and elements'price.And it shows some difference according to different varieties.2..At present, most farmers consider the Productivity risk has significant impact on the agricultural production, but only a few of them thought the market risk also has some impact. This study proves that the rate of non-agricultural income has great influence on the risk perception according to different kinds of families.3..Age and gender seems to be the most important factors which influence farmers' preferences, Meanwhile, education, the level of family income and the work situation of their family members also affect their preferences. 4.Contract manufacturing, agricultural insurance and government support etc. can all contribute to effectively manage and prevent the possible risks during agricultural Scale operation. As a result, it will make this kind of production mode develop more stably and smoothly.
