Ordering micro-cutting tool is a new structure tool. The porosity rate is larger than conventional tool. The micro-edge is artificial distributed, which can be automatically updated in the grinding. In this process, it does not need to be sharpened and can improve grinding efficiency. It is not only suitable for high-precision and high-efficient machining in engineering ceramics, semiconductors, silicon, optical glass and other rigid materials, but also for high plastic as aluminum alloy materials. The dense type of traditional diamond wheel is higher. Because in the manufacturing of grinding wheel, the density is generally an important indicator of quality and can improve strength and hardness. So it can cause to poor self-dressing, easy to plug, the shaping and dressing difficulty in beginning use and after wear. It greatly reduced the grinding efficiency. Therefore, it is a key that how to ensure sufficient holding force bonding on the particle, prevent the wheel from the passivation and blocking, and automatically sharpening for high efficient grinding. This paper aims to make a resin bond which has an appropriate porosity and can be used as the matrix material for the ordering micro-cutting tool. It can improve the self-sharpening ability of the tool to increase the capacity of the chip space. Thereby, it enhances the performance of the tool. By the comparison of the different pore effect, an optimal pore is selected. Its decomposition products have no residual impurities and are safe. Through orthogonal experimental design different bond formula can be achieved. Some samples were prepared according to bond formula, and flexural strength, tensile strength and porosity were detected. By the range analysis and variance analysis, the relationship of various factors was obtained about the factors significantly affecting on the bending strength, tensile strength and porosity of the trend. Also the relationship of the bend strength and porosity was fit. At the last, several groups of the optimal formulation of porous resin bond are made. With the combination of these prepared samples and diamond fiber, we have done polishing and grinding experiment. The wear rate is obtained, the surface pattern of binder and fiber were observed. By the way of comprehensive comparison, one optimal group is selected as the binder formula of the ordering micro-cutting tool in this subject.
