As a kind of light metals that have more applications at present, magnesiumalloys have attracted more and more attention. The current research focuses onmagnesium intermetallic compound and magnesium matrix composites, but thestudy on preparation of metal Nano-Multilayer Composite are rare.Nano-multilayer material have excellent properties, research and developmentof new magnesium alloys is important to accelerate the development ofmagnesium resource in China. To fabricate Multi-layered and evennano-multilayer magnesium alloy material, in this paper seven cycles ofaccumulative roll-bonding are used on magnesium plates which are inserteddifferent non-metallic powder mixed with magnesium powder.In this paper, seven cycles accumulative roll-bonding are used on the coupleof AZ31wrought magnesium alloy plate which are inserted into CNT/Mgpowder and ZnO/Mg powder. The experiments are taken at400℃,and thereduction of each cycle is about10%, the total distortion is67%.The variation ofmagnesium alloy grain size and layer thickness, the evolution of mixed powdersand the room temperature tensile properties of magnesium alloy multi-layersheet during rolling process are analyzed.The results showed that the layer interface of magnesium alloy sheet whichare inserted CNT/Mg powder and ZnO/Mg powder after rolling is well reserved,and with the increase of rolling cycle the combination of the layer interfacegradually meliorates. The grains size of magnesium alloy layer are refined dueto repeated dynamic recrystallization. Magnesium alloy multi-layer materials with obvious layers are prepared by the technique used in this paper. A idealNano-multilayer of magnesium alloy material is not formed and themetallurgical bond of magnesium alloy sheet interface is also not realized sincethe convergence phenomenon of magnesium alloy layer.Compared two sets of experiment, the content of magnesium powderdecreased more slowly in the powder layer of magnesium alloy sheet which isinserted ZnO/Mg powder, which illustrates that the fusion of magnesiumpowder and matrix materials is slowed by reducing the difficulty of slidebetween magnesium powders and nonmetal powders. The final layer thickness issmaller than the magnesium alloy sheet which are inserted CNT/Mg powderbecause of the amount of fusion layer is reduced.To prepare magnesium alloy layers and even nanoscale multilayer materialswhich have metallurgical bond between layers by the method of insertemagnesium powders and nonmetal powders between the magnesium alloy layers,the fusion of magnesium alloys layers and the fusion of magnesium powder andmatrix materials in the process of rolling shoud be avoided.
