We have studied and analysed the gelated, photo-responsive andanion-responsive properties of E12-5-NO2, containing azobenzene andhydrazide groups. The obtained results are as follows:1.Through testing the gel of E12-5-NO2in different organicsolvents,we found that the stable gel can be formed in tetrahydrofuran(THF). And we had studied the gelation abilities, the thermal behaviorof the gels, morphology and structure.2.Studied the photo-responsive behaviour of E12-5-NO2in gel andsolution,we found that irradiating with365nm UV-light can make the gelof E12-5-NO2collapse to solution, while irradiating with450nm Vis-lightcan make the gotten solution turn back to gel. Through studying thesolution of E12-5-NO2in photo-responsive, we found that the reason ofthe collapse of the gel is that the irradiating with UV makes theazobenzene transtrate from trans to cis, steric hindrance increased, andweaken the gel formed main driving force----π-π stacking among azobenzenegroups and the intermolecular hydrogen bond among hydrazide groups.3.Studied the anion-responsive behaviour in solution and gel ofE12-5-NO2, we found that organogel can respond to F-、HPO-4and AcO-, andthat the phenomenon is the collapse of the gel and the color changed.
