Titanium blisk is an important part of aeronautical engine compressor, and itsstructure is complex and materials difficult to process two features have beentechnical difficulties, with blisk structure be constantly updated, requiring more andmore high technology of its processing. In the whole process, the tool performance isgood or bad for the overall quality of the blisk, processing efficiency plays a crucialrole. In this paper, against the current newly proposed disc/plunge/flank complexmilling process design and analysis of disc cutter based on disc millingcharacteristics, the following primarily studies are done:Firstly, the blisk of disc milling characteristics and disc milling cutting forceexperiment is design. The structure and characteristics of the channel geometrytitanium blisk, the machining area to be divided, by calculating the area to strike aleaf disc channel can be processed; Characteristics of disc milling process is analyzed;influence of cutting force of the process is analyzed in the disc milling process.Cutting force trends is analyzed under different cutting parameters by disc millingexperiment, then based on the test results provided cutting parameter reference datafor subsequent tool design.Secondly, the overall structure of tool is design and modeled. According to thematerial properties of the workpiece, and combined with disc milling characteristics,the structure of the disc milling tool and the material of tool body and blade aredetermined; the manner of blade clamping is compared, and the appropriate choice ofclamping to determine blade; the structural of the workpiece geometry is analyzed todetermine the disc cutter size, chip flutes and flute size are completed, chip flutes andflute of structure are design, and using UG software modeling tool designed.Thirdly, the tool of structure is optimized by simulation analysis. In order toensure the tool when machining titanium play better performance, tool primarilyangle (axial, radial rake angle) cutting simulation analysis, based on cutting forceoptimization tool geometry angle; The overall structure of the different angles of thetool for static analysis by analysis software, tool geometry influence on the strength of the tool to be verified; the optimized structure of the disc milling through modalanalysis, machine-tool–workpiece security match is verified.Finally, depending on the design of tools, analysis processing characteristics anddifficulties of tool structure, the process of disc milling tool is plan, then tool grooveand chip flutes and other structures of tool CNC program is written, complete thedesign of the disc milling tool manufacturing.
