In this paper, the blends of low density polyethylene (LDPE)and methyl vinyl silicone rubber (MVQ) thermoplastic elastomer (LDPE/MVQ TPV) had been prepared by dynamical vulcanization. MVQ and SiO2were mixed homogeneously via a double roll to prepare the MVQ-SiO2blends, and then LDPE and MVQ-SiO2were mixed with the torque rheometer, dynamic vulcanization curatives were added, LDPE/MVQ TPV preparation in vulcanization machine thermo forming. Effects of peroxide curing system, hydrosilylation curing system and process parameters on the properties of LDPE/MVQ TPV were investigated.The effect of peroxide curing system on the properties of LDPE/MVQ TPV had been investigated. The results showed that when MVQ/LDPE were mixed on the ratio of60/40, DCP Had better curing efficiency than DMBPH, combined performances, when LDPE and EVA were added in the torque rheometer first, and than added MVQ-SiO2, the LDPE/MVQ TPV showed better combined properties with shore A hardness was82.2, the volume resistivity of4.90x1014Ω·m, tensile strength was4.86Mpa and elongation at break was105.6%when it dynamic vulcanization conditions of130℃x60rpm.The effect of hydrosilylation curing system on the properties of LDPE/MVQ TPV had been investigated. The results showed that hydrosilylation curing system was more suitable than the peroxide curing system for the preparation of LDPE/MVQ TPV. LDPE/MVQ had the combined performances, when the content of hydrogen was1.6%,and the dosage of PHMS was3.5phr., better overall performance of the LDP/MVQ TPV. The phase inversion could be achieved by dynamic vulcanization, compared with blending process, the prepared materials had better performances via dynamic vulcanization. The torque rheometer was more suitable for the dynamic vulcanization than a double roll. LDPE/MVQ TPV had showed better combined properties with shore A hardness was68.2, the tear strength was42.4kN/m, tensile strength was13.3MPa, elongation at break was656.85%and permanent set was65.8%when it added contents of15phr EVA and0.6phr1010. The LDPE/MVQ TPV had good heat resistance and repetitive processing performance. |
