| Quality of complex product is determined by the joint of each procedure in assemblyprocess. Therefore, defects are accumulated and transferred in the assembly process, ifappeared quality problems are not solved in time. Under this circumstance, qualitydefects can only be found after tests and removed through rework, which led to themanufacturing resources and economic losses of the enterprise.To solve the problem of complex product with quality defects passed to thedownstream process during assembly process, Quality Gates (QG) monitoring systemwas put forward based on the on-line quality control. Firstly the definition of qualitygates and structure of the system framework were given, and levels of the frameworkand function were detailed described. Through the distinguished influence factors andkey process of product quality in discrete assembly process, important parts of the QGsystem were established: validation standards and controlling scope, which guided tobuild the quality gates control system. And then the control strategy was establishedbased on the quality data link structure tree model and object-oriented Petri-Nets, whilethe quality data link structure tree model was constructed on the base of productassembly sequence analysis, which was verified by example of adjusting shim selectingprocess of active gear axle assembly. The strategy aims to discover the defects in theassembly process in time, so to reduce rework costs. Finally, with the main reducerassembly process as an example, the quality gates control system was developed and thevalidity and reliability of the system were verified. |
