Feather keratin is a kind of encrusted protein,its content is more than80%.Feather keratin has the characteristics of no-dissolve,anti-decomposition and antipain,and it also cannot be dissolved in nomal conditions.So keratin is very difficult to be deft with.And at the same time a lot of keratin materials are released in our country,but they have not been used properly,there are abandoned as a waste,it not only waste a great of resources of protein,but also it has brought great pressure to human survival due to the degradation-resistant feather keratin. So it is very necessary to research effective methods to make waste feather convert to protein and mixing amino acid and to make it to be used directly or to be the cheap resources for the purify of amino acid.By doing this we can turn wastes to treasures and protect our environment and make full use of the resources.The aim of this topic was to determine a simple and effective method of reutilize keratins from disused feathers.This topic is based on environmentally friendly forefront of the development of science and research,in order to realize the reasonable use of natural protein resources and maintain a verification environment for human survival,for the purpose of the research from the waste feather extraction feathers and its derivatives reuse way.Firstly,on the basis of introducing the research progress of abandoned biopolymers,the extracted methods of keratins and their applications in all aspects of life were reviewed.Then,we summarized the problems of extraction and application of keratins currently.Secondly,according to the traditional method of hydrolysis feather we used H2SO4hydrolysis was studied for the feather powder,inspected the H2SO4concentration,hydrolysis temperature on hydrolysis feather meal.The optimum process parameters of hydrolysis H2SO4feather is:5mol/L sulfuric acid concentration,bath ratio1:50,temperature is110℃,hydrolysis time of12h,the hydrolysis of solid yield was41.37%, the hydrolysis of the feather powder by H2SO4,time needed for too long,large energy consumption,and feather polypeptide powder solid production rate is too low,improve the production cost,so it is unsuitable to industrial production.Then hydrolysis was studied for the feathers by NaOH step hydrolysis method,dosage of NaOH, hydrolysis temperature and hydrolysis time on the hydrolysis of feather,so as to obtain the best technological parameters of the NaOH step hydrolysis method is:7g/L sodium hydroxide concentration, bath ratio1:50,temperature is100℃, hydrolysis time required for5h,the feather polypeptide powder solid production rate was53.3%.So NaOH step hydrolysis of feather powder production rate is low,the hydrolysis time is longer,is not suitable for production.This may be due to feather keratin macromolecular main chain by disulfide bond,salt and hydrogen bonding between the transverse link can form stable space,the feather keratin has strong stability,lead to feather keratin is not easy to dissolve,under the condition of high temperature through the long time effect of alkali,hydrolyze get most of the decomposition of free amino acid,peptide and feathers peptide powder is not high.Thirdly,the reduction-alkali treatment Idpe-g-nvp was hydrolyzed feather,with ethanol-hydrochloric acid to clean first feather powder preprocessing,remove grease and other impurities on the surface of the feathers,and then using mercaptoacetic acid as a reducing agent to restore the feather,feather keratin molecule in the disulfide bond (-S-S-) reduction of sulphur (-SH),under the mild conditions of alkaline hydrolysis feather polypeptide powder solid product.Discusses the mercaptoacetic acid dosage,the dosage of reduction temperature, urea, sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid dosage on the output rate of polypeptide powder,calculated the reduction-alkali hydrolysis optimum process parameters for processing ldpe-g-nvp reduction process, thioglycolic acid0.2mol/L, temperature80℃,14g/L of urea,dodecyl benzene sulfonic acid sodium2g/L;Sodium hydroxide hydrolysis process,sodium hydroxide,6g/L,1:50bath ratio,temperature100℃,the hydrolysis time40min;The feather polypeptide powder solid yield reached75.4%.Finally,this topic on film-forming properties of polypeptide powder were studied.Feathers polypeptide powder,soluble in for acid,glycerol as the plasticizer,stir well,film forming on the home-made ptfe board,room temperature placed2-3days,natural film.Glycerin is discussed,the dosage of crosslinking agent glutaraldehyde effect the performance of the film,when the concentration of glycerol is0.4g/g polypeptide powder,glutaraldehyde concentration is0.3g/g polypeptide powder, feather polypeptide membrane performance is optimal,fracture strength is8.69Mpa,the elongation at break was80.12%,the moisture permeability was1.98%,the light transmittance was21.3%.
