| Vacuum tension roller is used in nonferrous processing industry of longitudinal cut units in tension control system, which can solve the scratches of strip surface and provide tension. In the longitudinal cut units, the tension is generally realized by platen or tension roller. But these systems have their respective shortcomings, which could damage strip surface. In order to overcome the disadvantages as possible, it could use relative vacuum that generated by the interior of vacuum tension roller to adsorb the strip on the roller and produce tension. Due to the strip surface have no contact pressure, and then it couldn’t cause the harm on strip surface, improve the quality of the strip coiling.In this thesis, it researches the basic working parameters of vacuum tension roller, and then creates the main parameters of the mathematical model. So it can provide theoretical basis for the product line of foil. These main parameters include vacuum degree and suction; they decide the tension’s value that is provided by the equipment. When the mathematical model is established, these parameters of vacuum tension roller will take a procedural design by visual basic. Then it could provide convenient calculation for the future.Meanwhile, in this paper, it uses FLUENT to simulate and analyze the flow field where are the entrance area in roller body and the strip is wrapped in roller body parts. First, this paper establishes geometric model and divides grid by GAMBIT. Second, it uses FLUENT to simulate its flow field, and obtains the distributions of pressure field and velocity field. Then it could analyze the flow condition of gas when the equipment is working. Finally, it could verify this equipment’s structure is reasonable or not, and the same to the parameters of the mathematical model. Then it could guide the experiment and the test of products. |
