We used gravity separator of seed and suction type specific gravity extract machine ofgrain as research objects in this paper. We firstly introduced the main control structure andthe separating principle of gravity separator of seed and specific gravity stoner in theintroduction section. In the experiment and methods section, we analyzed the effects ofexperiment factors on germ extracting and the efficiency of the germ extracting wascompared by analyzing the parameters of two machines.When we introduced the structure and the separating principle of gravity separator ofseed, we firstly explained the basic structure and working process of gravity separator, andthen explained the key components and the main controlling factors. According to theprinciple of the separation of seed, the distribution of seeds on the screen surface includedlayered zones, areas of light materials, heavy materials area, mixed materials area. Accordingto the stress of material in different region, we did the stress analysis of material in differentregions. When we introduced the structure and the separating principle of suction typespecific gravity extract machine, we firstly explained the basic structure and working processof suction type specific gravity extract machine, and then explained the key components andthe main controlling factors. According to the principle of separation, the distribution of seedson the screen surface was divided into pre-partition and selected area and the stress ofmaterial particles was analyzed in different stages.In the experiment section, we got the larger and uniform size corn germ grits by gradeselecting. We got13groups of data by choosing the reasonable factors and level ofexperiments(the experiment factors are vertical inclination and vibration frequency,whileexperiment factors of specific gravity stoner are suction volume and screen surfaceinclination the and screen surface inclination),and arranging two factors and three levelsseparator experiments. The regression equation was obtained by regression analysis. Thetrend analysis of experimental factors affection on the efficiency of germ extracting was usedto compare the germ extracting efficiency between two machines using the best operatingparameters. In the conclusion section, the germ extracting efficiency and yield of gravity separator ofseed is better than suction type specific gravity extract machine. The vertical angle of gravitysorter significantly affected the purity of germ extracting and pure germ extraction rate. Withthe increase of vertical angle, the purity of germ extracting decreased and pure germextraction rate increased. The vibration frequency of gravity sorter significantly affected thepurity of germ extracting and pure germ extraction rate. With the increase of vibrationfrequency, the purity of germ extracting increased, and then decreased and the pure germextraction rate decreased. Screen surface inclination of suction type specific gravity extractmachine significantly affected the purity of germ extracting and pure germ extraction rate.With the screen surface inclination increased, the purity of germ extracting decreased andpure germ extraction rate increased. The suction volume of suction type specific gravityextract machine significantly affected the purity of germ extracting and pure germ extractionrate. With the increase of suction volume of specific gravity stoner, the purity of germextracting increased, and then decreased and pure germ extraction rate increased.
