In recent years, with the increasing cost and the declining reserves of oil, nature gas hasbeen applied in our daily life widely. Storage and transport have became an important part ofnature gas industry, such a large amounts water is contained in nature gas, that dehydration ofnatural gas has become a key technology to protect equipments from plug valves andcorrosion cased by gas hydrate formation in natural gas industry. Traditional natural gasdehydration technology exist some disadvantages like: a small amount of processing, largeequipments and huge investment. Supersonic separator has a smaller equipment, a light weightand it needn’t external power compared with traditional dehydration ethnics. The maincontents of this paper are as follows:(1)The structure of nozzle is designed, and the exit pressure and speed of gas at nozzlethroat are deduced based on thermodynamics. Geometric model of nozzle is established andnumerical simulation is carried out by using the software of FLUENT. Compared the resultswith theoretical results, the simulation result is basically consistent with theoretical results.(2)The appropriated separation section and diffuser method are selected based on the fact, turbulence model for the nozzle is simulated by FLUENT. And by changing the geometricmodel of separation to analyze the influence of different parameters on the separationperformance. The results show that, the separation performance is impacted by cyclone sectioncone angle diffuser cone angle nozzle expansion length obviously.(3)Combined supersonic gas-liquid separator is researched based on the existing research. And the preliminary design of adjustable gas-liquid separator has accomplished, the3D modelof the adjustable separator is established and the feasibility of the technique is analyzed bynumerical simulation. The result shows that, the ethnic is feasible, and provide sometheoretical basis for experimental research.
