At present iron and vanadium are extracted from vanadium-titanium magnetite mainly through blast furnace smelting, However, almost all the titanium element moves into slag in this process, forming titanium-bearing blast furnace slag. This not only pollutes environment, but also wastes titanium resources.Perovskite-modified slag and rutile modified slag which are produced through modifying titanium-bearing slag are used as raw materials in this project, and the flotation tests of perovskite-modified slag, gravity-selection tests and acid leaching-alkaline washing tests of rutile-modified slag are investigated.(1) Selection of collector and inhibitor for perovskite-modified slag flotation:The influences of salicylhydroxamic acid, benzohydroxamic acid, butylxanthate, starch and CMC on flotation performance of perovskite are studied. The best flotation reagents and flotation scheme are determined. The appropriate amounts of flotation regents are10000g/t of starch,300g/t of salicylhydroxamic acid,1000g/t of benzohydroxamic acid,100g/t of butylxanthate, and100g/t CMC. Under those conditions the perovskite concentrate with grade being41.85%is obtained through twice flotation, and its recovery rate is45.53%.(2) Test of acid leaching-alkali washing rutile-modified slag:The impacts of concentration of leaching solution, temperature, reaction time, particle size, liquid-solid ratio and stirring speed in acid leaching stage and of the concentration of sodium hydroxide, temperature, liquid-solid ratio and washing time on TiO2content and the recovery rate during alkali washing are observed. The appropriate conditions are CHCl=20%, T=100℃, t=6h, L/S=5:1,-75-+48um titanium particle, and200rpm of stirring speed in acid leaching process, and in alkali washing process CNaOH=10%, T=65℃, t=30min, L/S=11:1mL/g,250rpm of stirring speed are determined as the appropriate conditions.(3) Gravity selection of rutile-modified slag:The grade and the recovery rate of concentrate after one stage gravity selection, two stages selection and three stages selection are examined. It is found that the grades of rutile concentrate increased to37.01%after three stages of gravity selection.(4) Gravity selection jointing acid leaching and alkali-washing process:It is concluded that the rutile with grade more than90%and96.5%of recovery rate are produced after gravity selection jointing acid leaching-alkali-washing process.
