General Assessment On Ecological Environmental Capacity Of Mineral-Rich Cities

With the rapid development of economic construction in Fuxin City, the increasingly prominent ecological and environmental problems have become the constraint obstacles of sustainable development, and have serious impact on people’s health and life. As a typical coal resources city, In order to continue the sustained and healthy development, we must have a correct understanding of the current ecological state of the Fuxin’s eco-environmental capacity which is essential for the sustainable development of the city’s future. Under this background, to study and evaluate the ecological environment capacity of Fuxin city has a very important practical significance and potential uses.Based on the analysis of the present situation and characteristics of ecological environment of Fuxin, the environmental capacity evaluation index system was established through the application of Analytic Hierarchy Process. And the application ecological environment index method is used to calculate the environmental capacity of Fuxin City. The calculation results show that the Environmental Capacity value of Fuxin City was0.4603, which indicate that ecological environment capacity is in the normal state. It belongs to the third class of self-built environmental capacity grading index classification, show that the Fuxin city ecological environment capacity has been saturated critical value, disturbed the ecological carrying capacity.This result presents the current environmental quality, environmental capacity and environmental carrying capacity of Fuxin City objectively and comprehensively. It can provide the important reference basis for next stage’s dynamic management of pollution source and environmental quality control of Fuxin. Through the overall design and optimal allocation of Fuxin’s environmental capacity resources, we can promote the construction of ecological city and ecological environment improved further so as to obtain the economic benefit and social benefit, to ensure that Fuxin fully into the economic and social sustainable development in the fast lane.
