As a pillar industry of China’s national economy, petrochemical industry plays animportant role in our life and production. Being short of resources, China has been takingproactive measures in terms of oil use efficiency. Based on the spiirt of "development andconservation, energy conservation and environmental protection", domestic oil refiningenterpirses have made certain achievements in enei^y saving by actively promoting"resource-saving" and "environmental friendly "construction.As major eneigy consumer of reifnery, energy consumption of crude oil distillation unit accounts for20-30%of the total energy consumption. In this thesis, by taking5,000,000tons/year crude oil distillationunit as an example, energy saving methods for the entire crude oil distillation unit were studied in detail andcertain argumentation were demonstrated. The studies were made from four aspects:(1) by replacingelectirc desalting demulsifier technology with ultrasound desalting technology, the total removal rate of thesecondary electric desalting can reach95.6%, which not only saves demulsifier consumption, but alsoreduces the difTicully of sewage treatment;(2) conducting research on energy saving for the entire heatexchanger system for cnrdc oil di2stillation unit by adding1,730m heat transfer area, which reduces the unitenergy consumption by about O.S8kg standard oil/1crude oil;(3) resolving the problem of corrosion on topof the tower of crude oil distillation unit by choosing proper erlease agent; and (4) r^Jucing consumption ofwater, electircity, gas and fuels by reasonable use^e and operation of such mateirals.By detailed analysis and demonstration of the energy use of the crude oil distillation unit, it is proventhat the energy consumption of the entire unit has been reduced to some extent.
