Research On Modern Womenswear Design Under The Inlfuence Of Feminism

Economic development increases people’s living standard and women’s liberationmovement promotes the constant rising of the status of women. Currently, men’s and women’sstatus has been basically at the same level, women has an indelible contribution in all walksof life, the promotion of the status of women also changes the design principles of women’swear, the influence of feminism on modern women’s wear design becomes more and moreobvious.Society is a mirror of change of the time, and it enhances the formation of the culture.Recently, the unprecedented development of feminist thought not only is social and culturalprogress, but also enriches the thinking of contemporary fashion design and brings new powerfor the development of fashion design. In the thesis, based on the feminism development, thechange of women’s wear in one hundred under the influence of the feminist movement isanalyzed and modern women’s wear designs under the influence of feminism are exploredfrom the aspects of theory and practice.In the thesis, feminism and women’s art are reviewed in the first place; on the basis, thechange trend of western women clothing in the three times of feminist movement through thehundreds of years, and the influence and development on China’s women’s wear at the sameperiod is analyzed. Form the fourth chapter of the thesis, the influence of feminist on themodern women’s wear design is described in detail and cultural reasons are explored,currentwomen’s wear design is studied from the aspects of dominant effect and recessive effect andsummarized analysis is made on the cultural clothing design styles. Finally, the developmentoutlook of modern women’s clothing design under the perspective of feminism is put forwardand on the basis and practice of modern women’s clothing design under feminist perspectiveis made; the regularity and characteristics of modern women’s clothing design under theinfluence of feminism are summarized from the aspects of theory and practice. Predictably, the future fashion design and even future cultural forms should include morebroad perspective and more inclusive forms; design of symbolization and semantic expressionshould be considered with a diverse cultural perspective. Under the big context of constantlyharmonious development of gender and temperament, the future fashion design is bound tobreak through the inherent limitations of human nature and moves forward to more colorfulnew world.
