The copper alloy has been used into every corner of human society innowadays. Copper alloy was a kind of non-ferrous metal materials with copper as themain element, and add other elements to improve its physical and chemical properties.The characteristic of copper alloy will have a wide difference when its minorelements’ type and content was changed. Therefore, the determination of category andcontent of each element in copper alloy is very important to its manufacturer,processing and application. In order to improve the analytical accuracy of the portableX-ray fluorescence spectrometer in the analysis of main and minor elements,Depending on the state863plan“The research and development of High-precisionportable X-ray fluorescence spectrometerâ€(project number:2012AA06180301), Theauthor have used brass alloyã€white copper alloy and manganese bronze to be samples,using the portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer measure it, and having the studyof smoothingã€peel off overlap peaks and matrix effect correction on the spectrum line.The main achievements of this experiment are:1. Strength formula of primary and secondary fluorescence of homogeneous andheterogeneous X-ray is constructed and a theoretical equation of mathematic relationbetween content of elements in copper alloys and fluorescence strength is alsoestablished. This research specifies the influence of matrix effect between differentelements and focuses on the study of absorption enhancement between differentelements in copper alloy.2. Through a large number of contrast experiments, it can effectively reducebackground of the spectrum line by using the0.2mm Aluminum filter. And using thebior3.3wavelet on background subtraction of the spectrum line, it can improve thepeak to background ration of the elements by reducing the background.3. Using different wavelet function on the spectrum line by smoothing andresolution of overlapping peaks,the results show that using coif3wavelet can get thebest effect on smoothing, and using the second-order b-spline wavelet can get the besteffect on resolution of overlapping peaks. 4. Combining theoretical alpha coefficient method and the basic parameters tocorrecting matrix effect of the experimental data, the results show that this methodcan effectively reduce the effects of matrix effects on analysis results. The averagerelative error of Cu and Zn in the brass samples was0.17%and0.68%;The averagerelative error of Cuã€Ni and Co in the white copper alloy samples was0.16%,0.99%and0.75%;The average relative error of Cu and Mn in the Manganese bronze sampleswas0.15%and4.04%.Portable X-ray fluorescence analyzer copper alloy has the advantages of on-siterapid non-destructive analysis of detection and analysis precision, low cost, goodstability. In this paper, using the brassã€the white brass alloy and the Manganesebronze standard sample for example, after instrument spectral smoothing and noisereductionã€deducting the background and resolution of overlapping peaks of theoriginal level spectrum analysis, then correct the absorption enhancement effect,achieved good results for the main and minor elements. |
