With the rapid development of society, the solid waste emissions rises dramatically. It can cause the environment pollution and result in the burden to the society, economic and environment. In recent years, the solid waste reuse has become a focus topic with the enhancement of the people’s environmental protection consciousness. Therefore, the research of solid waste disposal and utilization technology enhancement has become the priority which China and other countries must face, the problem of how to handle and comprehensive utilize the solid waste has become an irresistible trend.In this paper, backgrounding the low melting temperature of SiO2-CaO-Al2O3which is about1170℃, Porous ceramic was prepared by the method of creating, taking sugar mud as pore forming agent for high temperature, fly ash and slag with solid waste as raw material, waste glass as fluxing agent, waste ceramic as aggregate, clay as agglomerant.In the experimental process, the effect of processings, such as forming pressure, calcining temperature and calcining time,on the porosity, strength, water absorption, thermal insulation property and Permeable performance of porous ceramic were also studied. X-ray diffraction, Scanning electron microscopy, Archimedean principle, breaking strength tester and Thermal coefficient apparatus etc were employed to characterize and analyze the pore size distribution, microstructures, phase identification, porosity, strength and thermal coefficient of conduction and so on. In this investigation, the heat insulating materials and permeable material were prepared through the critically control of the content and granularity of sugar mud, waste, etc. The controllability of porous ceramics’pore size and the opening or closing of pore was achieved after forming and optimize sintering process.The basic processings of porous ceramic for solid waste included controlling fineness of batch formula to100items sieve and1%sieve residue. The experiment results show that insulation material whose closed porosity, pore size distribution, volume density, flexural strength and thermal coefficient is35%,0.1~1.5mm,1.204g/cm3,14MPa and0.40W/(m·K) respectively is prepared in follow condition:slag25wt%, sugar mud28wt%, waste glass14wt%, clay33wt%with forming pressure20MPa, sintering temperature1060℃, temperature holding time0.5h.The experiment results show that permeable material whose open porosity and flexural strength is28.4%,26.9MPa respectively is prepared in follow condition:sugar mud22-28wt%, waste ceramic17-23wt%, fly ash25wt%, clay30wt%with forming pressure21MPa, waste ceramic fineness0.9-2mm, sintering temperature1100℃, temperature holding time1h.
