| With higher and higher paper quality requirements, paper surface sizing technology has played an important role in improving the paper quality and reducing production cost. In order to sastify the demand of excellent performance surface sizing agent in enterprise, firstly, long chain alkyl acrylate and AA-NP10polymerizable surfactant were synthesized. Secondly, graft monomer of styrene/butyl acrylate/polymerizable surfactant/diallyl dimethyl ammonium chloride/maleic acid anhydride onto starch were carried out by using emulsion polymerization. Thus three starch graft copolymers with different structures were prepared. The influence of monomer composition, mass ratio of monomer and starch, the dosage of oxidizing agent, emulsifier on the synthesis of starch graft copolymer and its surface sizing performance were discussed in this study. The relationship between structure of starch graft copolymer and its surface sizing performance were investigated by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), surface tension meter, differential scanning calorimeter, ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometer, contact angle apparatus and other analytical instruments.Through the blending of starch graft copolymer, oxidized starch and synergist by molecular complex legal, ring crush compression resistance, tensile strength and water resistance of paper were effectively improved. This study results provide technical support for the preparation of high cost-effective starch graft copolymer surface sizing agent and enrich the theory of supramolecular chemistry. |
