| PP (Polypropylene, PP) is a kind of general polymer materials with excellent properties, which is widely used in the field of packaging, electronic, automotive materials and so on. Nowadays, as people are increasingly concerned about the safety of fire, halogen-free flame retardant polypropylene is becoming a hot research spot.In this paper, the performance of the intumescent flame retardant (IFR) was studied, and the synergistic effect between phenyl silicone oil, titanium dioxide, chrome antimony titanium buff rutile and PP was investigate.When the fire retardant content in the polypropylene is20wt%, the LOI value of PP/IFR system exceeded30, and the PP/IFR system can reach UL-94test V-0level. In the same amount (20wt%), the process of masterbatch with60wt%IFR concentration can increase oxygen index, improve the efficiency of flame retardant flame retardant. Addition of phenyl silicone oil A-1can promote the system into charcoal and improve the fire-retardant performance. Titanium and chrome antimony titanium buff rutile replacing IFR can also promote the system into charcoal and improve the fire-retardant performance. At the same time, the inorganic flame retardant masterbatch, flame retardant masterbatch was prepared and color performance was evaluated, and it shows good color strength in the PP/IFR systems. |
