In recent years, the superheated steam drying technology has been gradually developed and concerned. Superheated steam drying has the advantages of security, non-polluting, recovered energy, so it becomes a main drying technology of low-carbon requirements. This research is on the basis of the small laboratory superheated steam drying equipment and completing the expansion equipment of superheated steam drying. It is a systematic study of the factors of the superheated steam drying through the laminaria japonica. The process parameters of each factor were chosen and drying kinetics model among the steam temperature, pressure, flow, drying time and the loss water was established. A reference for the large-scale produce of the superheated steam drying technology and improvement of the equipment was provided. This paper contained as follows:1Research on the superheated steam drying effect of superheated steam temperature, pressure and flow on the expansion equipment through the laminaria japonica. The results showed that:reasonable superheated steam temperature was140℃; reasonable superheated steam pressure was30kPa; reasonable superheated steam flow was0.1427kg/(m2·s).2The impact of the superheated steam temperature, pressure and flow between the expanded equipment and the small-scale laboratory equipment through the laminaria japonica was compared. Inspect was done to test whether the design is reasonable and feasible or not. The results showed that:increasing the diameter could increase the superheated steam amount; adding a spoiler could let the steam through the according path which could improve the drying effect. It proved the extension of the equipment was successful.3The curves of temperature and quality of material through the laminaria japonica were set up. The energy consumption during the test was calculated. The drying kinetics model among the superheated steam temperature, pressure, flow, time and water loss was summed up.4The effect between the superheated steam drying, hot air drying and microwave drying through laminaria japonica was compared. The results showed that: the superheated steam drying can make the best effect of the laminaria japonica.
