In this paper, we start from the research of fault block oil fields’ basic characteristics, thenuse Shan Shan Dong Qu complicated fault block oil field as an example, applied the modernreservoir fine description on it and carried out the refined reservoir description research onstructure, sedimentation and reservoir, Combined modem reservoir fine description methodsand the characteristics of complex fault block oil reservoir, using Shan Shan Dong Qu as anexample, after a further study of the reservoir structure, we established the3D geologicalmodel by stochastic modeling technique. Using modern reservoir engineering methods, carriedout a systematic evaluation and prediction research of production decline rules, water-cutrising rules, the moisture content distribution characteristics of different development stages,inter-well connectivity of different influenced factorsOn the basement of reliable3Dquantitative geological models, combining development status of this field., we studied theremaining oil distribution and its regularity by using the numerical simulation technology.
