With the development of modern military technology, all kinds of flight vehicle performance has been improved, its use of fuel density and combustion heat value has higher requirements. The caged hydrocarbons contain a moderate amount of strain energy, which with a higher density and larger combustion heat value, and PCU dimmers occupies very important position. Foreign reports about PCU dimmers synthetic route are mainly three, but domestic reports are less, so using the experience of existing synthetic to explore the new type of PCU dimmers which has more excellent performance have important value and significance.The reaction route in this paper is designed based on the method of Marchand, found in the synthesis of single ketone compound by the method of Marchand has a certain difficulty. This article makes some modifications, finally through seven steps successfully synthesizes the PCU dimmers, optimizes the three steps in the synthetic route and determines the reasonable process conditions. In addition, based on the synthesis of PCU dimmers experience and literature research, designed a cheaper synthetic route, and makes a preliminary exploration.This paper deeply investigates the reaction, the optimum condition of the Diels-Alder addition reaction of cyclopentadiene and1,4-benzoquinone was investigated, n(cyclopentadiene):n(1,4-benzoquinone)=1:1.15, the speed of cyclopentadiene drop is1.5d/s, reaction temperature is5℃, the yield is up to91.5%. Effect of irradiation time on yield was studied. The optimum irradiation time is4h, the yield is90.5%. The optimum condition of the Huang Min-long reduction reaction was investigated, the content of hydrazine hydrate is17ml, reaction temperature is260℃, the quantity of toluene is160mL, reaction time is6h, the yield is up to85.5%.
