As an important chemical material,calcium carbide is Mainly used in the production of acetylene. With the rising of international oil price year by year, The production of acetylene which is produced with calcium carbide is increasing these years. For the moment,the method that placing the limestone and coke on the reaction furnace at high temperature is widely used to produce calcium carbide in almost every country. The reaction temperature of calcium carbide is2200℃.The temperature of molten calcium carbide is up to2000℃.With the calcium carbide production, a large amount of dust will be produced, so that the environment in the workshop of calcium carbide production is very bad.The furnace equipment with high mechanization high automation is adopted in foreign calcium carbide production. The production of calcium carbide started late in our country. Duing to the rough equipment, most of the calcium carbide production work is completed by hand.The low production efficiency, the bad work environment and the potential safety hazard is widely existed in national calcium carbide production.First of all, according to the whole process of calcium carbide production, the calcium carbide furnace system is devided into two parts:the calcium carbide carrying system and the calcium carbide furnace machine. The structure in the shape of disk is put forward to take the place of traditonal form in the calcium carbide carrying system, which is used to protect the driving device from High temperature and dust. The new scheme of the tipping bucket mechanism was designed, which improve the production efficiency of calcium carbide greatly. The swing calcium carbide furnace machine was designed, which can be operated with remote control.Secondly, the research of the important mechanism such as the structure in the shape of disk,the servo-driving device,the tipping bucket mechanism and the swing mechanism was conducted. The design of the main drive element was completed. And the structure strength of the main structure is checked by finite element analysis. Duing to the High temperature environment, thermal-mechanical coupling analysis was performed with the structures which bear more heat.At last,the dynamic simulation of the transformation movement in the burning-through mechanism was conducted. Because of the friction characteristics in the burning-through mechanism and the polygon effect in chain, crawling phenomenon and the vibration in the vertical direction was came into being. With the dynamic simulation, the vertical displacement curve of the pole and the velocity curve of the pole was obtained. The variation law was Analysed. The new scheme to reduce the friction was obtained.The research content and the design method in this paper have certain guiding significance to the design of calcium carbide furnace system.
