VSR (Vibratory Stress Relief) is the technology which can eliminate the residual stress of parts. It origins in abroad.The theory of VSR has been continuously perfected since50in the20th century.As the promotion of VSR decice, it is more and more applied to actual production.Our country imported the VSR technology in1970s,then origanized scientific research institutes and universities to do further theory research and develop VSR equipment.After several decades of promotions developments and applications,the vibrating ageing is taking place of heat ageing. Compared with heat ageing,the vibrating ageing has high automation level,low investment costs,short producting cycle,no pollution to environment,and the most important is that its effect is not inferior to heat ageing.It is these advantages that pushes the wide application in light and heavy industries of our country.But there is some factors that restrict vibrating ageing’s development,such as hard to make its craft,no quantification standards to identify its effect of eliminating residual stress.Based on actual application,firstly,this paper develops VSR equipment,then does further research on making VSR craft,thirdly debugs and improves this equipment through experiment.Chapter1introduces the VSR theory and its development at home and abroad, and then emphasizes VSR technology based on Spectrum Analysis.The VSR equipment developed in this paper is based on this method.Chapter2introduces the reasons of generating residual stresses,then does comparative analysis on stress relief mechanism of heat ageing and vibrating ageing.Chapter3introduces the development process of VSR equipment,which includes PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) digital speed control module,acceleration signal low pass filter,digital to analog converter.Chapter4introduces the development process of upper computer software. Based on the VSR craft process,we develop this software in dialog frame which is easy to use for customers.This software establish the communication with MCU (MicroControllerUnit),through which can control the motor speed and collect acceleration signal.Then we can do Spectrum Analysis to find the natural frequency of the part with acceleration signal.Chapter5mainly introduces how to make VSR craft,which includes the selection of the exciter’s position,support position,exciting force and time.After that,it introduces several methods to evaluate the effect of residual stress relief.Chapter6introduces the experiments which can debug the software and hardware of the VSR device.The experiments can show the reliability and stability of the equipment.At last,we summarize the existing achievement to point the direction of future work.
