| Many experts are interested in RTM molding process, because RTM is widely used in the composite material manufacture. This paper summarizes others’research about composite material laminate and stacking sequence optimization. The composites stacking sequence optimization expert system is developed using Memetic algorithm’s superior searching performance and computer. The main works of this thesis are as follows:The local operator library is established based on studying the composition and structural characteristics of Memetic algorithm, and then to show the structure, composition, and preservation of the library. The Memetic algorithm is successfully applied to composite laminates stacking sequence optimization. Numerical results show that Memetic algorithm has better performance and faster convergence when it compares with standard genetic algorithm.The rule operator library is established from summarizing the composite laminate design rules, at the same time, the structure of rule operator library and expression of rule operator are given. Numerical results show that the rule operators having critical impact on the optimal result. Maybe the result of rules is not optimal, but it is the most suitable for the requirements of design rules laminates.The operation of composite laminate rule operator is detailed studied in this thesis. Several operation methods such as replacement approach, swap approach, zero fitness approach and combined approach are introduced to execute the concept of laminate design rule. Effects and anylysis are analyzed in terms of fitness value and convergence rate.Based on the above various technologies and optimization objective function library, a composit is established and laminate stacking sequence optimization expert system is developed using C programming tools and database software.
