In order to solve the vibration of the machine tool bed that effects on the machining accuracy of high speed, high precision machine tools, this paper should make high speed, high precision machine tool bed have high stiffness and good damping characteristics. Sofar the main materials of lathe bed is cast iron or steel. However, the traditional materials can’t satisfy the above two conditions at the same time. In order to solve the above problems, this paper designs a kind of high strength, high damping, Good impact resistance and corrosion resistance that have high performance composite concrete to replace the traditional cast iron or steel welding material, used in machine tool bearing large casting. In this paper, the main research work and achievement are as follows:In the first place, the paper designs an optimal mixing proportion of High Performance Composite Concrete material and tests the material properties through the experiment. Through observing the test data found that the HPCC material has high damping characteristics. What’s more, the paper finds that high damping characteristics of HPCC material can effectively suppress or damping three kinds of vibrations of machine tool lathe bed through the calculation and analysis focused on the free vibration, the mechanism of self-excited vibration and forced vibration of machine tool bed.In the second place, the paper designs a vertical machining center machine tool lathe bed adopted to the analogy design method (The following said C22G type lathe bed).And it uses Proe6.0software for vertical machining center lathe bed to model3D. The model imports ANSYS12.0software for computer simulation analysis. and then combined the results of the simulation results and mechanical calculation. Through the analysis results show that under the condition of the lathe bed structure reasonable design to make use of the C22G type lathe bed of HPCC materials to meet the requirements of the machine tool supporting large for static.Finally, the paper uses the machine tool dynamics principle to establish the dynamic model of C22G type lathe bed. And it calculates the main vibration mode and natural frequency. What’s more, it uses software ANSYS12.0for C22G type lathe bed model to make modal analysis. And then creates a ratio of1:2and1:1C22G bed sample. At the same time, the paper has carried on the experimental modal analysis for the proportion of original machine tool lathe bed. From the comprehensive calculation, the simulation analysis and experimental results,the paper draws a conclusion that using the casting C22G type HPCC material of lathe bed has high natural frequency, and can avoid most of the external excitation source of interference to improve the stability of lathe bed.
