Glutathione (GSH), a kind of bioactive compounds tripeptide which containing thiol. GSH has important physiological significance in biochemical, such as protect the cell membrane and antioxidant. Results showed that the exchanging concentration of GSH has been noted to accompany with many diseases. Therefore, it’s important and essential to develop effective and rapid methods to the quantitative determination of GSH. In this work, we mainly study GSH by electrochemical methods, and the main research expounded from the following five aspects:Chapter1:The properties and functions of GSH were summarized, and the methods of its determination as well as the research status and development were also reviewed. Then we introduced the electrochemical mediators, some modified materials and the characterization of modified electrode in brief. Finally, we outlined the major contents and significance of this thesis.Chapter2:A new material nanowire Zn(OH)2was fabricated, and it was successfully applied to modified electrode. A novel, simple and sensitive method based on the modified electrode and tyramine as a mediator for GSH determination was developed. Cyclic voltammetrys (CVs) and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to characterize the electrode, and the assay performances of GSH were evaluated. The proposed method was successfully applied to the determination of GSH in vegetable and fruit samples.Chapter3:In this paper, a multi-walled carbon nanotubes and ionic liquids composite modified electrode (MWCNTs-ILs-CPE) was developed. And the assay performances and the kinetic parameters of GSH in the presence of mediator (paracetamol, PA) at MWCNTs-ILs-CPE were evaluated. The proposed method was sensitive, and used to determine GSH in Tathion Eye Drops sample.Chapter4:Hydroquinone (HQ) as a new mediator was used to determine glutathione by kaolin carbon paste electrode (KCPE). Under the optimal conditions, the concentration of GSH was obtained by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). Some kinetic parameters were also devaluated. The proposed method was simple, rapid and sensitive, and developed for the determination of GSH in pharmaceuticals.Chapter5:In this part, copper(Ⅱ) hexacyanoferrate(Ⅲ) was synthesised by nature sedimentation method. And it was applied to modifying carbon paste electrode. The electrochemical behaviours of GSH at CuHCF-CPE were evaluated. Kinetic parameters were also obtained. The concentration of GSH in simulation sample was obtained by the proposed simple and sensitive method.
