Abstract/Summary:
In this paper we synthetic brominated butyl rubber (BIIR) by solution method, and added four kinds of new type liquid antioxidant produced by YanShan Petroleum chemical plant. In order to establish the test method of antioxidant content in BIIR, we used ultraviolet spectrophotometer (UV) and total reflection Fourier infrared spectrometry (ATR-FTIR) test; To study antioxidant effect on the thermal stability and thermal oxidation properties of BIIR,we used TG and DSC apparatus to study the of BIIR heat and thermal oxidation kinetics reaction; And then we vulcanized BUR which added four antioxidant and got the vulcanization curve and determined the parameters for the cure; To study the antioxidant’s influence on the hot oxygen aging and ultraviolet aging resistance of BIIR, we tested the mechanical properties of vulcanized BIIR after hot oxygen aging and ultraviolet aging, and analyzed the aging mechanism.we established qualitative and quantitative method to detect the contents of antioxidant in the BUR by ultraviolet spectroscopy and infrared spectrometry; The heat and thermal oxidation experiments suggested that four kinds of antioxidants can improve the thermal stability and thermal oxidation resistance of BIIR at different levels, and the performance of antioxidant1520was the best;The vulcanization results showed that the addition of antioxidant made sulfide slower, while improved the operating security; The mechanics investigation results of vulcanized BIIR after hot oxygen aging and ultraviolet aging showed that four kinds of liquid antioxidant can effectively improve the hot oxygen aging performance of BIIR, they also had certain anti-ultraviolet aging effect.
