In recent years, the incidents of oil contaminated water frequently occur, which is aserious threat to human survival environment. How to achieve effective separation ofwater-oil mixture has become an urgent problem. The presentsuperhydrophobic-superlipophilic materials tends to form a plug between water and the film,which can not effectively and quickly separat oil-water mixture. In this article,we take tobuild micro-nano structures on copper mesh surface and modify with fluorinated compound to prepare high oleophobic and superhydrophilic film, which can be used for the separation ofwater-oil mixture successfully. The main contents are as follows:1.Cu(OH)2nanoneedles and PDDA-PFO/SiO2micro-nano structure was fabricated by thesolution method on copper mesh substrate.The contact angle for vegetable oil is144.5°androll angle is15°. The contact angle for hexadecane is140.1°, but for water droplets is close to0°. The film shows high oleophobicity and hydrophilicity. Thus, it is very suitable foroil-water separation with stable performance, which allows water to permeate through thefilm, whereas the oil is retained above the film. After the separation process, the film can becleaned and used repeatedly.2. CuO nanosheets was synthisized by oxidation method on brass and was modified withPDDA-PFO/SiO2composites to prepare high oleophobic and superhydrophilic film. Thecontact angle and roll angle for vegetable oil is141.5°and25°respectively. The contact anglefor hexadecane is135.2°, and for water droplets is close to0°. This method is simple with lowcost and stable performance. Also, the film is easy to be cleaned and suitable for large-scalepreparation.Thus, there is promising applications in the separation of oil and water mixture.3. The micro-nano silver dendritic structure obtained by substitution reaction in AgNO3solution on the surface of brass mesh matrix was modified with PDDA-PFO/SiO2compositesto fabricate superhydrophilic oleophobic film. The contact angle for vegetable oil is147.5°and roll angle is4.2°。The contact angle for hexadecane is141.6°, and the contact angle forwater droplets is close to0°. This material is also useful for oil-water separation and can bereused after being cleaned with stable property and good separation rate.
