Batik dyeing is one of the oldest traditional dyeing technique, which can not be conclude the exact era but according to archaeological evidence which was used at least2000years ago.The unique effects and delicate technique of Batik’s origin extends back to Ancient India era, which later derived the Java Batik and the other various types of Chinese Batik. The usage of the method could be predictable that the path of the ancient cultural inflow has started from India to China, later to Korea to Japan. In the first section the researcher attempts to investigate the demographic characteristics and the historical background based on Southeast Asian and Chinese Batik technique.Continues to investigates on the Peony pattern, which appeared in both Chinese and Korean traditional fabrics. The researcher took the reference from the traditional peony patterns and designed with the Batik technique. For more over, the researcher had created several unique Batik material based on the research and the Southeast Asian methodology. The new design was driven through the study of crafting techniques of traditional dyeing method. One of the crafting techniques of traditional dyeing method is using wax in resist printing, which draws special effects and unpredictable pattern, and also this technique can be treated in various results with any kinds of material. Which made it possible to bring the modern identity of Wax resist prating and traditional inter-graft method. In this paper, the researcher treat the traditional peony pattern as a reference to design a new batik patterns, combined with batik technique, creating a batik for Southeast Asia and South Korea technology research methods, the new design is based on traditional dyeing methods techniques. First, we make a comparison between China and South Korea traditional patterns and then design the pattern we need, and the experimental process is used in Southeast Asia production methods, to produce more creative and diverse development of the fabric.Based on the above research and experimental results show, the author believe that academia needs to be for not only cultural, technological integration with a variety of countries, you can also add in the past, present and future factors, identify the most suitable for modern, universal practical work and research, and then not only can we inherit the tradition, but also enlarge the application fields.
