Study on wax deposition and operating cost of Zhongluo pipeline was performed in thepaper, including laboratory test, programming and result analysis.The basic physical properties and rheological behaviors of severe different type crude oilwere determined through laboratory test. Basic data were provided for calculating the waxdeposition and the operating cost of related crude oil. In addition, choose and build theappropriate wax deposition model of those kinds of crude oil according to the deposition testdevice.Wax precipitation in pipeline was predicted with the wax deposition program of thosekinds of crude oil. Calculation methods of parameters for friction resistance, viscosity onpipeline wall, oil temperature distribution along the pipeline, shearing stress on pipe wall, waxmolecular concentration on pipe wall were listed in the paper. Programming for multiple subfunction associated with the basic parameters of crude oil, with the method of sub functioncalled main function in this los. Thus, it simplifies the calculation of the wax deposition andthe operating cost of related crude oil when running different crude oil.Wax deposition, operating cost, and optimized pipeline cleaning period under differentoperating conditions when mixing with and without light oil were simulated with the program.Change of wax deposition rate along the pipeline was analyzed with related factors that affectwaxing. Further analysis was focused on effect on pipeline waxing on power cost, fuelexpenditure, and pipe cleaning cost to determined effect of pipe waxing on pipeline operatingcost, and finally determined the optimized pipe cleaning period under different operatingcondition. |
