| Wax deposition problems are always originated in pipelines when deliver crude oilwhich has high condensation point and high wax content. Research on the law of waxdeposition of crude oil is necessary which could let the pipeline operate safety andeconomically. The establishment of pigging plan also pursuant to the law of wax deposition ofcrude oil. Model loop wax deposition apparatus is the main facility to research on the law ofwax deposition of crude oil currently. But this facility has the defect like: has longexperimental period, need more crude oil, cost price is high. Rotary facility of the waxdeposition was developed by our laboratory. This facility need less crude oil, has shortexperimental period, convenient to weighing the quantity of wax crystals. This facility couldchange the each value of outer barrel speed, crude oil temperature and inner barreltemperature when the other two do not change. Value of shear stress, temperature grade couldbe simulated by FLUENT. Effect of shear stress, wax concentration grade and temperaturegrade to wax deposition rate could be developed depend on the research before.Some law was worked out by experiment and simulate. The results show that the waxdeposition rate is in proportion to wax concentration grade and temperature grade at the innerbarrel. And wax deposition rate varies in inverse proportion to shear stress at the inner barrel.In this paper a new wax deposition dynamic model was established, this model takes intoaccount the factors of asphaltene and colloid in crude oil. This model could reflect the law ofwax deposition of crude oil comparatively well. This model introduces an estimation errorof on average10%. |
