As the offshore oil is developing from coastal to the open sea and deep sea area, thestorage of crude oil is also transferring from onshore oil reservoir to the floating tanker. Crudeoil storage facilities offshore are put forward, which can ensure continuous production in badsea conditions by using underwater oil storage, and also can reduce the cost of mining andconstruction. Meanwhile, because oil tank capacity is not restricted, floating tanker has hugestorage capacity. However, high sand content will cause equipment wear, blocking andcongest pipeline and oil tank, causing unnecessary economic loss. As a result, solid wastecleanup is an important aspect of underwater tanks design. This paper mainly has carried outthe following several aspects:1、This paper optimized the most rational seafloor sand treatment by analyzing andcomparing various methods, and also designed the best cleaning plan for deep-sea submarineoil tanks grit. Specifically, this scheme includes oil tank automatic deoxidization system andhydraulic transmission system, which validate the feasibility of undersea oil tanks clean-up bytheory and parameters analysis.2、Since conventional oil tanks deoxidization device cannot clean oil tank corner well,this paper developed a device of automatic deoxidization device which is suitable for deep-seaoil tanks.3、By simulating the hydraulic sand washing process of jet nozzle with CFD software,sand washing angle of jet nozzle, the jet distance and jet speed from nozzle to tank bottomwere calculated.4、According to the hydraulic sand transport system, sand tank, Venturi tube and jetnozzle was designed Last but not least, this paper simulated the internal flow field of exportedequipment by using CFD software, and analyzed the impact of exported equipment on sandtransport volume concentration, which helped to determine the reasonable nozzle diameterand the best distance between nozzle and deposited sand tank.
